How the Obagi
System Works
The Obagi
System recognizes that your skin is a living organ with interacting
functions. Restoring the health of your skin cannot happen if you
merely treat the symptoms. To achieve (and maintain) skin health,
you must correct the underlying problems and stimulate the growth of
new, radiant, healthy skin cells. The Obagi
Nu-Derm System meets this challenge with a daily program of five
easy steps. (Your doctor will prescribe products designed especially
for your skin condition.)

The goal of the Obagi
Nu-Derm system is to create soft, radiant-looking skin; to increase
skin tolerance to environmental assualt, and to resotre normal skin
functions. In the first phase of the treatment, when your skin is
red and dry, you may need to add the "Control" step to minimize
these temporary discomforts. All creams should be rubbed in gently
until totally absorbed before proceeding.
Step 1: Prepare. In this step, you cleanse and
tone to make your skin more receptive to the correction step.

Step 2: Correct. This step repairs the damage to
the surface of the skin, correcting hyperpigmentation, uneven skin
tone and smoothing skin roughness.

High Potency 10% Serum (for face, neck and chest)
Step 3: Protect. This step prevents further
damage from harmful UVA and UVB rays, as well as protect the
sensitive eye area.

Control Step: Sometimes, especially at the
beginning of the treatment, your skin may be sensitive, dry or have
a reaction. As time goes by, your skin will become healthier and in
less need of control agents.
